About the Staff
Brendan Brown and Jean Feroldi ran a summer camp together in 2023 and began Double Mountain Day Camp as a way to connect kids in the Gorge to their skills and passions. They both value creativity and outdoor exploration and have found both living in the valleys between Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams. At DMDC, we hope to encourage campers to try new skills, take creative risks, push boundaries, get outside, and make new friends.

Brendan Brown
Camp Director
My name is Brendan Brown and I've lived in the Columbia River Gorge for the last 8 years since graduating from Cornell University with a degree in International Agriculture & Rural Development. Following a brief stint in the world of wealth management, my career has primarily centered around experiential education including positions teaching outdoor education at Cornell University and Portland Waldorf School; teaching mathematics at Hood River Valley High School; and serving as Director of World Class Kiteboard Academy’s international traveling boarding school. I love sharing food, a game of Scrabble, and time on the water paddling whitewater or chasing wind. -
Jean Feroldi
Camp Director
My name is Jean Feroldi and I live in White Salmon, WA. I’m originally from Virginia and I studied architecture at the University of Virginia and art direction and business at the VCU Brandcenter. For the past 2 years, I’ve run the M.C.E (Make Create Explore) design program at Wildwood Academy. Before moving to the Gorge, I worked as a graphic designer and art director for Facebook and Instagram for more than 5 years. During my time there, I taught big brands and small businesses how to build creative content through programs called Story School and Brand Camp. I love teaching and I’m passionate about connecting creativity and the outdoors. I spend much of my recreational time whitewater kayaking, skiing, biking, or hiking with my dog, Cole, or working on design side projects.
